Physiotherapy

Our core service, and where most people start. We assess how you move, look for the root of the problem rather than chasing the symptom, and build a plan designed to help reduce your pain and support you back to the things you've been missing. Hands-on treatment, tailored exercise, and honest advice.

Assessment

Your assessment begins with a conversation to understand how your pain started, why it may have developed, and what factors could be influencing it. This helps us build a clear picture of the underlying issue.

We then move on to a physical examination, where we’ll ask you to perform specific movements and, where needed, carry out hands-on testing to assess the integrity of the joint and surrounding muscles.

Throughout this process, our priority is to keep you informed, explaining what we’re doing and why, to help you understand the structures involved and the likely cause of your pain. From here, we’ll share our clinical opinion on diagnosis, realistic recovery timeframes, treatment options available in clinic, and a tailored home exercise plan.

Treatment

We are a hands-on clinic. Our approach combines clinical reasoning and exercise prescription with skilled manual therapy, which may include:

  • Joint mobilisation
  • Soft tissue release and massage
  • Trigger point release
  • Muscle energy techniques
  • Acupuncture and dry needling (included at no extra cost)
  • Kinesiology taping (included at no extra cost)
  • Shockwave therapy (available for a £15 supplement)
  • Guided, progressive, and tailored exercise therapy

Every treatment is tailored to you, clearly explained, and grounded in evidence. We don’t believe in doing things simply for the sake of doing them.
